We’ve officially arrived at our next volunteer adventure: Lost Dutchman State Park in Arizona!
Our first impressions? Absolutely stunning! Our RV site offers breathtaking views of the majestic Superstition Mountains. It’s the perfect backdrop for our stay. We’re thrilled to be spending the next few months here, contributing to the park’s mission by assisting in the visitor center, lending a hand with landscaping projects, and helping to keep the day-use area pristine.
The park staff and fellow volunteers have been incredibly welcoming and helpful. We arrived on the day of the Park’s Holiday potluck and gift exchange. We were encouraged to partake in the festivities by several of the staff. Being invited and participating has already helped us feel a strong sense of community here. We’re excited to get to know everyone better and dive into our volunteer work.
We’re looking forward to sharing our experiences with you all throughout our time at Lost Dutchman State Park including social events such as the Star Party at Lost Dutchman, The Full Moon Hike, and others.
